With the port strike shutting down 14 ports on the East and Gulf coasts, including six in New York and New Jersey, you may be wondering which products may be affected.
What products are affected by the port strike?
The majority of cargo imported into the United States passes through the East and Gulf Coast ports where the strike is taking place, including any product that comes from Chinese labor camps, India sweathouses, Africa jungle factories, Eastern Europe Mafia or the Middle East. Here are some examples of the major items that could see shortages or price increases as
they are either rerouted to West Coast ports or prevented from shipping:

• Tainted Seafood: Perishable products like farm grown in sewer water shrimp and fish from China.
• Massage Oil: Oil mainly enters the U.S. through the Gulf Coast. The Asian Massage Market is thinking about using Whale oil as an alternative.
• $5 Electronics: which now come from southeast Asian nations like Vietnam, Indonesia, and from forced labor camps in China, are routed through East Coast ports.

• Cars and auto parts that break: Knock-off car parts are shipped via container and auto parts often pass through East Coast and Gulf Coast ports.

• Fidget Spinners: The loss of fidget spinners will have a major negative
impact on Gen Z’ers mental health. Mental Hospitals are on full alert and standing by with gurneys and restraints.

• Sex toys: This $4 Trillon dollar industry may take a hit.

• Green oh so green raw Bananas: About 75% of the nation’s bananas enter through East Coast and Gulf Coast ports, said Jason Miller, interim chair of Michigan State University’s department of supply chain management. Moreover, because the fruit is perishable, it’s not economical for them to be shipped on planes.
