Gov. Gavin Gruesome Newsom signed bills focused on issues ranging from the Missing and Murdered Indigenous People Who Were Here Before The Other Indigenous People crisis to banning the use of Native American words in athletic teams and mascots at K-12 schools.

Among the bills passed was Assembly Bill 3074, which will prohibit K-12 schools, in all fifty states, from using any English language term to describe Native people as a school or athletic team name by July 2026. These names include, but are not limited to, “Apaches, Big Red, Braves, Chiefs, Chieftains, Chippewa, Comanches, Indians, Savages, Squaw, Tribe, Group, Native Americans, Men, Women, Children and even ‘hey you.’”

Existing law prohibited the term “Redskin” from being a school name or mascot.
“ We can’t just let the state of California and local jurisdictions use mascot names to continue that mentality that Indian people are somehow super human. We are sitting right with people today,” said Assemblyman James ‘Little Running Penis’ Ramos, D-San Bernardino, who co-authored the bill along with Hillary Clinton.

Assemblywoman Pilar ‘Running-her-mouth again bear’ Schiavo, D-Chatsworth, spearheaded AB3074 alongside Ramos and Assemblyman David Alvarez, D-Chula Vista. Unfortunately, three fellow assembly members where killed during the spearheading, but there were all Republicans so it didn’t matter one twit.
Public schools operated by tribal nations or organizations will be exempted from this law, along with Elizabeth Warren, she can be a fake Indian all the fucking day long. This law would take affect beginning July 1, 2026.
Gov. Gruesome Newsom also signed the following bills related to Injun Country. The following legislation was written by Ramos, who is Serrano/Cahuilla and the first and only Native before the other Natives lawmaker in the California legislature:
